Description
Small worms. Prostomium rounded, length larger than width. External secondary annulation beginning from III. Chaetae two per bundle, sigmoid with distal nodulus, simple-pointed, 75-100 µm long. Male pores in X, spermathecal pores in XI and XII, clitellum in IX-XII. Pharyngeal glands in IV-VII. Chloragogen tissue on oesophagus beginning from VI or VII. No lateral blood vessels in postclitellar segments. Atria ovoid, laterally compressed, terminating in small penis. Two pairs of spermathecae with large ovoid ampulla and distinct duct. Length 8-15 mm, segment number about 55. Differing from congeners in the combination of the internal characters.
Burrowing in sediment.

Reproduction
Sexual only. Eggs laid in cocoons.
