Description
Naidids with proboscis and eyes. Dorsal chaetae beginning from VI, with few hair chaetae and simple needle chaetae; no giant hair chaetae. In mature individuals, male pores in VI.
Distribution
Almost cosmopolitan.
Ecology
In freshwater.
Reproduction
Mostly asexual, by paratomy (budding). Mature individuals and sexual reproduction rare or seasonal.
