Description
Naidids with rows of sensory papillae, and with detritus coat adhering to glandular papillae. Dorsal chaetae begin in from (but from IV, in some exotic species), with hair and needle chaetae. In mature individuals male pores in VI.

Distribution
Cosmopolitan.

Ecology
In freshwater.

Reproduction
Mostly asexual, by paratomy (budding). Mature individuals and sexual reproduction rare or seasonal.
