Description
Medium-sized worms. Prostomium prolonged, roundish, with transversal furrow on its dorsal side. External secondary annulation in forebody present. Chaetae two per bundle, sigmoid with nodulus, simple-pointed, 129-140 µm long. Male pores in X, spermathecal pores in XI and XII, clitellum in 1/2 IX-XII. Pharyngeal glands reach to VI. Chloragogen tissue on oesophagus beginning from VI. No lateral blood vessels. Pyriform atria, without any duct, terminating in small penis. Two pairs of spermathecae with long ovoid ampulla and short duct. Length 17-18 mm, segment number about 80. Differing from congeners in the combination of the internal characters.
Burrowing in sediment.

In freshwater, groundwater.

Reproduction
Sexual only. Eggs laid in cocoons.
