Description
Small smooth pink worms. Locomotory chaetae all bifid, with upper tooth shorter and thinner than lower one. 2-5 chaetae in anterior bundles and 1-3 in posterior bundles, 30-40 µm long. The difference between teeth length decreasing in posterior segments. Penial chaetae with very thick, hollow proximal ends but simple fine distal tips arranged close to each other in bundle, by 7, about 60 µm long. Coelomocytes present. Length 2.7-3 mm, segment number about 20. Differing from similar small species with shorter upper tooth in locomotory chaetae, in presence of proximally thickened, hollow penial chaetae, and large coelomocytes.
Burrowing in sediment.

In freshwater, rare.

Reproduction
Sexual only. Eggs laid in cocoons.
