Description
Small naidids with extended III segment. Bifid crotchets in all bundles; dorsal ones beginning from III. No eyes. In mature individuals, male pores in VI.

Distribution
Holarctic.

Ecology
In fresh and brackish water, mostly on sand. Feeding mainly on unicellular algae.

Reproduction
Mostly asexual, by paratomy (budding). Five anterior segments developing in the budding zone. Mature individuals and sexual reproduction rare or seasonal.
